"To find this restaurant you need to go on a special expedition, but believe me, the effort is worth it. It is housed in an old omnibus depot and envelops a massive space. However, the low iron ceilings and tables with candles and bright blue cloths create a cosy, intimate atmosphere defying the cavernous space.

This is a great restaurant. It would be possible for both intimate meals and big parties to thrive here because, while a sense of style is maintained at every turn, the basic quality of the food is never sacrificed.

Excellent spacious venue for both the small and large corporate/private party functions. Seating can be arranged for up to 350 people, with smaller groups catered for in the separate raised recessed areas. Parties can be tailor made to suit. Extensive range of draught beers and excellent choice of wine racked up between the bare brick alcoves."

"Shillibeer's sits in an old large industrial factory space, among a host of similar buildings now housing media companies and even a theatre.

The industrial interior has a well-worn parquet floor, bare brick, steel supporting columns and a rivet-clad girder ceiling.

Stairs and nautical white painted railings lead up to a raised restaurant area.

The impressive wine selection of a hundred bins includes offerings from the Côte de Beaune to Israel.

Malt whisky drinkers are also well catered for with a dozen different distilleries represented.

There's also a couple of ales and a good choice lager."

"This three-level bar/brasserie in a factory redevelopment is welcoming, with lofty windows, stripped wooden floors and plenty of seating space."
